What should I expect when I call Lunn Law LLC for the first time?
When calling Lunn Law LLC for the first time, you will be greeted by a team who cares about your case and is seeking to understand where you are in your unique journey. Upon calling, you will be asked questions about your contact information, the type of matter you need assistance with, and the involved parties in your matter. From there, you’ll speak to one of the members of our Intake Team who will discuss your matter with you and determine an appropriate course of action based upon the information provided.
If you are comfortable with the recommendation, we will schedule you for an appointment to where you can get the assistance needed and be on your way to getting the resolution needed for your case.
What areas of law do you practice? / What types of cases do you handle?
We practice family law including divorce, separation, annulment, legitimation, paternity, child custody, child support, adoption and post-judgment relief such as contempt actions.
We also practice in probate court for guardianship matters (child and adult), probate (including Letters of Administration and Probate of Wills. For those needing estate planning (wills, trusts, power of attorney, and advanced care directive), we draft and oversee execution. How many attorneys do you have?/ How many years of experience do you have?
We have two attorneys available to assist you with your family law, custody, child support, probate, or estate planning matter. You can read more about them and our entire team here. Combined, we have over 60 years of experience and stand ready to help you protect what matters most to you.
Do you have payment plan options?
Yes, we partner with Affirm to offer a third party payment plan. We typically will send the information needed once you have had an initial appointment to understand the facts of your case, determine your goals and deadlines, and craft a plan to move forward with your case.
Also, depending on your matter and what is needed in your unique case, we have a number of solutions and options available that can assist you getting closer to protecting what matters most to you.
What’s the lead time of your firm handling my case if I move forward?
As soon as you have signed an agreement and have paid the applicable fee or retainer, we will send you a questionnaire to start collecting the necessary information and start the needed work on your case.
Do you have a free consultation?
Yes, but you have to pay a fee upfront that will be credited back to you if you retain the firm. That’s how we know who is serious about their case. We’re serious about helping good people that are serious about protecting what matters most. It is part of our law firm’s values.
Why can’t you quote me with a retainer over the phone? / What are your rates?
We give every client individual attention that is truly driven by your unique needs and goals. Until we know more about you, your case, your goals, and your deadlines, it wouldn’t be fair (or accurate) to quote you with a rate.
How does a retainer fee works?
A retainer is a fee paid to a law firm in advance for legal services that may be required in the future. It is typically paid at the beginning of the attorney-client relationship and is held in a trust account by the firm. As legal services are provided, the fees are deducted from the retainer balance.
Here are some key points to understand about how a retainer works:
Payment and Agreement: Before beginning any legal work, the client and the law firm will enter into a retainer agreement. This agreement outlines the scope of the legal services to be provided, the fee structure, and any other relevant terms and conditions.
Deposit: The client will be required to make an initial deposit, which is the retainer amount specified in the retainer agreement. This deposit is typically paid by check or electronic transfer.
Hourly Billing: As the law firm provides legal services, the attorney’s time is billed against the retainer at an agreed-upon hourly rate. The firm will keep track of the time spent on the client’s matter and provide regular invoices detailing the services rendered and the fees deducted from the retainer.
Replenishment: If the retainer balance falls below a certain threshold, the client may be required to replenish the retainer. This ensures that there are sufficient funds to cover ongoing legal services.
Please note that the retainer is not an estimate of the total cost of legal services. It is simply a prepayment for legal services that may be required in the future. If the retainer is exhausted, the client is responsible for any replenishment.
Do I have to retain your firm if I meet with one of your attorneys?
You are under no obligation to move forward with us after an appointment. Here at Lunn Law LLC, we want you to be informed on your unique matter. We also aim to educate you on the options available with your unique set of circumstances and to be able to make the most informed decision possible- whether that involves our services or not.
What method of payments do you accept?
We accept major credit/debit cards, eCheck payments, personal checks, cashier checks, and money orders. For any payments done in-office, please notify us of your intention first before making the payment.
Why do I need to schedule a meeting with an attorney? I just need documents/papers drafted.
It’s best to schedule a meeting with an attorney to make sure that you are informed regarding your situation and are requesting the correct documents drafted for your needs and are taking the most prudent course of action given your set of circumstances, goals, and deadlines. Your appointment fee will go towards services rendered if you retain or move forward with us.
Do you do in-person appointments?
As a part of our core values, Lunn Law LLC leverages innovations with technology where we can to streamline services. We like to make our services as convenient as possible to our clients and understand our clients have busy lives and may not have the ability to meet in an in-person setting. We are also intimately familiar with Metro Atlanta and how hard it is to get around the city at certain times of the day. We offer Zoom and phone meetings as options for all initial appointments.
I have documents to show. How do I forward documents to the attorney prior to my appointment?
Once you book an appointment with us, you will receive an email address where you can send those documents. The documents will be reviewed during your appointment.
I have issues uploading documents online or I have a lot of documents. Where can I drop my documents?
Once you book an appointment with us, the documents can be dropped off at our Fayetteville office (Fayette County) at
110 Habersham Drive Suite 106
Fayetteville, GA 30214.
Please make sure to contact us first before dropping your documents and drop off copies of the documents (not the originals). You can also have the documents scanned and e-mailed at various retailers such as Fedex-Kinkos, The UPS Store, Staples, and OfficeDepot.
Do you have a fax number?

Can I make a payment on the day of appointment?
The fee for the appointment would need to be paid to secure the appointment. Your appointment fee will go towards services rendered if you retain/move forward with us.
Can I make a payment at your office?
Yes, we accept payments at our Fayetteville office at:
110 Habersham Drive
Suite 106, Fayetteville, GA 30214
The payment would need to be made between the hours of 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM.
Make sure to contact us first before dropping your payment. We accept personal checks, money order, and cashiers check for office payments. For cards, we accept all major credit cards, but it must be done online.
How long have you been in business?
Lunn Law LLC has proudly served the Metro Atlanta area for approximately 15 years. The firm was originally founded and started in Jonesboro, GA (Clayton County). We look forward to continuing to serve South Atlanta and the entire Metro Atlanta area.
Can you help me remotely? I am out of state or out of the country, but have a matter in Georgia?
